The NNMS Ikot Ntuen is established as a secondary school to produce able bodied and disciplined Nigeria youths who are mentally and physically conditioned for service in the Nigerian Navy, sister services and other professions. The main objective of establishing the NNMS is to provide an environment for the development of leadership qualities and citizenship training for the students. Other objectives of establishing the NNMS are:

⇒ Provide secondary school education that will adequately prepare the student for SSCE/WASCE/NECO and similar examinations.
⇒ Impart basic Naval training and orientation to young boys of secondary school age for subsequent service in NN in particular or the other services as well as being responsible citizens of Nigeria in other professions in general.
⇒ Contribute to National integration and security through proper development of students in a multi-cultural environment:
