The Nigerian Navy Military School (NNMS) Ikot-Ntuen was commissioned on 23 May 18 to enhance the proficiency of potential naval personnel by exposing them to naval culture and environment at secondary school level.

To ensure effectiveness in the training of the Young Sailors (YS), training programme in the school is structured into academic, leadership and naval discipline. This is to guarantee the wholesome development of the YS for leadership responsibilities in the future.

The NNMS admits only 2 students per state including FCT in every academic session. The School graduated its pioneer YS on Sat 12 Aug 23 with colourful Passing Out Parade Ceremony that had the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Pastor Umo Bassey Eno as the Special Guest of Honour and the Reviewing Officer.
